SINS OF OUR CURRENT POLITICAL STRUCTURE
A memo from Arthur Ekrem — March 1, 2026
I’m on Capitol Hill watching —breaking news—America is divided. Like, professionally divided.
My inbox gets hammered with “my side is holy” and “your side should burn in hell.” Spoiler: both sides are wrong. If you had my front-row seat, you’d see today’s drama isn’t uniquely evil—it’s just the newest season of the same show.
We’ve had Slick Willy, Iran-Contra, WMDs, uranium deals, hacking, scandals, “investigations,” and now Trump—a dealmaker with tabloid gravity. Different cast, same script. It’s sickening. Honestly, the stuff in the shadows would make you consider moving to Iceland.
Here’s what’s changed: the media. Facts used to arrive like a newspaper: clean, boring, useful. Now a simple story—car swerves, hits tree, driver dies—turns into twelve versions, three conspiracies, and a podcast series. People don’t argue over reality anymore—they argue over whichever headline they adopted as a personality.
I’ve watched politics up close for decades, and every president gets labeled “the most polarizing in history.” That’s what happens when ratings, outrage, and social media run the press room.
Also: I left the Republican Party in 1987, and people ask how I can support one side one day and the other the next. Easy: the country isn’t a team sport. “Us vs. them” is how you end up tearing down the house while the kitchen’s on fire.
If Kamala had won, she’d be getting the same “seek and destroy” treatment—because that’s who we’ve become.
Still, I’ve got hope: the kids. They’re smarter than we were, and they see through the dysfunction we built. My only regret is I may not live long enough to see gentility make a comeback.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to watch the Democrats try to torch President Trump—because in D.C., the stage directions never change.

WHAT IS DCBULL?
Welcome to your no-spin field guide to what actually happens in Washington, D.C.—the backroom strategy, the consultant whispering, the PR “clean-up,” and the perfectly timed outrage.
Because nothing in D.C. is an accident. Shakespeare called it: all the world’s a stage—and nowhere does the cast commit harder than the Beltway.
Every outlet swears they’re the last honest voice in politics. Uhh, Sure.
So buckle up.
I’m your source for real D.C. moves—straight from the playbook.
And yes: the bull stops here.
WHO AM I?
I’m Arthur Ekrem—Chief Problem Solver (and occasional professional fire extinguisher).
I publish DCBULL, speak/lecture/advise, and keep a few other political and business irons in the fire.
For years, I’ve been a behind-the-scenes D.C. insider—paid to wander the Capitol’s hidden hallways and translate chaos into plain English. I’ve worn a lot of hats: board member, campaign wrangler, strategist, policy adviser, and full-time troublemaker’s worst enemy.
After 35+ years of Beltway exploits—and repeated nudges from people in high (and not-so-high) places—I finally started DCBULL.
Good Lord.
POLITICAL CONVICTIONS?
I’m Arthur Ekrem—yes, me—a real, non-partisan D.C. insider who’s been playing at the national level for a long time.
I think the two-party system is cracked and fading fast. I predicted that the "them versus us" two party structure over 30 years ago. The next global chapter won’t be written by lawyer-politicians playing by the same old Beltway rules. It’ll take an industry-built leader who terrifies insiders, sparks new thinking, and gives the next generation of iPhone voters something worth showing up for. It is my belief that President Trump was a first step in breaking the old boy network. It's now time for a younger and more progressive generation to shape America.
My D.C. roots go back to the Reagan White House, through the Clinton years, and beyond. My quote shelf ranges from George Carlin to Thomas Jefferson —fresh thinkers, sharp knives.
At DCBULL, I spotlight the characters, the arguments, and the real motivations—without the mainstream makeup.
So, D.C.?Watch yourself. I’m watching you.

In-Depth Discussions
DCBULL with Arthur Ekrem is the final political word on everything bipartisan and newsworthy—with a more candid take on what’s really going on in Washington, D.C. and beyond.
This is an honest source for what REALLY happens in D.C.—and the political strategies used by inside advisors and PR experts to make it all look “totally normal.”
Because nothing happens in Washington by accident. As Shakespeare wrote, “all the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players”—and nowhere is that more true than Washington, D.C.
